What is DJI AVATA 2 Drone
DJI announced the small FPV drone " DJI AVATA 2 (DJI) ", which has been rumored for some time, on April 11, 2024, 09:00 AM EST (10:00 PM JST). Shipping is scheduled to start around April 16th. It is the successor model of the FPV drone DJI AVATA released on August 25, 2022, and is DJI's third generation FPV drone. This time it will also be released in Japan. However, since it is not sold as a set with DJI FPV Remote Controller 3, to enjoy the essential Manual mode , you will need to purchase Avata 2, Goggles 3, and Remote Controller 3 separately instead of Fly More Combo. But even in Normal mode / Sport mode, you can enjoy "Easy ACRO" flights such as Front/Back Flips, Left/Right Rolls, and 180° Drift.Since takeoff weight is about 377g, a visual observer is required for flights. Like the previous model, it can shoot video at FOV 155 degrees and 4K 60FPS. You can also now record HD videos. Flight time has also been increased to 23 minutes (previous model was 18 minutes). However, it seems that past models cannot be used for goggles and controllers.
VTX is written as "O4", so it seems to have evolved from the previous model DJI O3 Air Unit digital FPV system . I'm looking forward to the release of this alone.
The DJI Fly app is used to control it, just like the DJI AVATA

DJI AVATA 2 Flight modes
DJI AVATA 2's Flight modes include Normal mode / Sport mode, which are similar to conventional DJI self-leveling drones, and Manual mode , which is unique to FPV drones. However, Manual mode is only available for DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 (DJI) . Manual mode is disabled by default and must be enabled from DJI Goggles 3 (DJI) screen. Also, by turning the screw on the back of the controller, throttle spring can be disabled, similar to the radios for FPV drones .
